I consider this piece my first leap of faith after college. I got the opportunity to do commissioned work for a local selfie museum without any restraint of what I could do. In college I did commission work to buy groceries. While it benefited me monetarily it also took away my personal creative direction. After encouragement from my close friend to stop commission work, I began painting from my own perspective again. This was my first stance to gaining my own freedom of style.
