A gallery damaged this original piece, which was previously covered in plastic. That plastic was cut off and I thought I’d embrace the message instead of cursing out the gallery. Initially, this piece represented my 2023 hermit mode. I’d never felt so open but closed off in my life. Growth was realizing that I wasn’t closed off anymore, when that plastic was cut off it made me see the message differently. 2023 was my foundation year, I had no choice but to allow myself to reemerge. It was like the universe saying stop hiding from yourself and embrace change and growth.
