I was so fed up with my over religious family demonizing my individuality. Growing up in church, I carried this looming shame for being myself and speaking my truth. I often experienced adults justify their wrongs by misusing the bible lead by saying I was going to a hot fiery place underground or that I’m the bad guy. Me using the iconography of both angelic and demonic figures was really just satire at best. Their issue had all to do with their own ignorance, not religion after all.
